Maybe you're old enough to remember The Beatles songs from the first time around, in the 1960s. Perhaps you grew up listening to your parents' vinyl LPs or tape cassettes of Beatles songs. Or maybe you think Retro rocks and you've just learned to appreciate the songs of the 1960s Fab Four for the first time.

But even if you find all that 1960s music too corny for words, there is something evergreen about the Beatles and their legend. That's probably why so many music lovers still make their way to The Cavern Club in Liverpool where The Mersey Beat was invented.

The Beatles were discovered there and played the venue almost 300 times. Today, the Cavern Club, celebrating its 50th year in 2007, is anything but a museum to the past. Its gigs feature local and national up-and-comers and Indie bands of every description. They all hope lightening will strike again of course.

Nostalgia buffs needn't worry -- there's still room for the Sixties at the Cavern Club every Sunday night.
